Another interview today, this time we’re introducing Sherri!
Hello my name is Sherri Singley. First and foremost I am a follower of Jesus. I have been blessed to be the wife to my best friend Markiel. I also love being a stay-at-home mom to my eleven year old son Amari and my three year old daughter Sanai. My blog is God Life Happy Wife. I blog about marriage,God, faith, parenting, homemaking, and whatever else I feel like sharing. My favorite topics to write about usually focus on either a lesson that God had to teach me, or an exciting day out of my life.
I am still pretty new to the blogging world so I am still trying to figure out a blogging system that works for me.
I’ve never been the type of person that followed a schedule I usually just did what felt right. One of my new years goals was to get more organized, so I started using a family planner binder. In my binder I made sure to include a blogging schedule. This way I can keep blogging time and family time separate because this is so important. I also recently made a promise to my husband that I would not be on my computer after he arrived home from work.
I think it’s a great way to make sure I keep our time together a priority.
One of my favorite posts that I have ever written is titled My Story. It is my favorite because it is my very first post.
When I wrote it I wanted to share my testimony of how God has worked in my life. After I posted it I felt a little timid putting my life out there for anyone to see but I knew it was what I needed to do. Now I love to share because it has allowed me to connect with a lot of great women.
My advice for other bloggers may seem pretty obvious, but it’s important to blog about what you love. When you blog about something you are passionate about, it will come through more natural in your writing. When your writing comes from the heart it allows your readers an opportunity to relate. Also make connections with other bloggers. It is always helpful to support one another. You can always learn something from a blogger that may have more experience than you, or encourage a new blogger from what you have learned.
