Super excited to introduce you to Emily from Love, Pasta and a Toolbelt today! (How cool is that blog-name???)
Hi BOTS Readers! My name is Emily and I am excited to be interviewed here today. My husband and I recently moved back south with our 4 year old puppy dog, Dolly. I’ve worked as a nanny for the past 3 years before moving. I blog about recipes, DIY crafts, home decor and improvement. I love to try out new recipes and share them and also to craft. My favorite thing is to make wreaths, I love all of the different types you can make for each season.
What is your blogging niche? –
My blogging niche is recipes, DIY crafts, home decor and improvement. I first began my blog as a way to keep our family up to date with our lives as newlyweds but then I discovered how much I enjoyed blogging so I picked the niche I enjoyed most. I also did wedding features each week for awhile and lately I’ve done a couple posts about my favorite TV shows and have seen those be pretty popular among my readers. So I think it is ok sometimes to go a little outside your niche as long as it is something you really enjoy and can share something good about the topic. I try to mainly focus on my niche but I enjoy throwing in a few different posts here and there to mix things up a little. Also lately things have been crazy with moving and not having our own house so I’ve needed new topics to cover since I have not had a lot of time to create new projects. But stay tuned because we get the keys to our new house next week and I will be sharing all about our process to make it our own and then decorate it!
How do you find time to blog? –
I used to be a nanny so I blogged during nap time. As soon as the kids were down I was on my blog working on link parties and posting and connecting with other bloggers. Now I am blessed to be able to be a stay at home wife so that gives me more time to blog. I try to work on it the most during the day so when my husband comes home from work I can spend time with him.
Share a favorite post from your blog – My Master Bedroom Makeover is one of my favorite posts and also one of my most popular ones. I loved our master bedroom and was sad to leave it when we moved. However now I have a new master bedroom to decorate and I am excited about that. You will be amazed by the before and after shots because my husband bought our house as a bachelor so when we got married and I moved in the whole house had a complete makeover.
Thank you to the ladies at BOTS for interviewing me and I hope you will all check out my blog and follow along in one way or another 🙂
