I recently did something new with my secret Pinterest boards that has already really helped me in promoting my old blog posts on Pinterest and across other sites.
I scrolled to the bottom of my Pinterest profile and created six new secret boards. Then, I went through all of my posts from the “my blog posts” board and divided them between the six new boards. I was sure to put a good variety on each board so that they all have a good mix of recipes, organizational tips, budgeting advice, parenting tips, encouragement and DIYs.
Now, I can rotate through the boards each week and choose posts to feature on Facebook and re-pin to Pinterest. This has been so helpful because in the past I’d always find myself re-sharing the same favorite posts. I had forgotten about so many good old ones!
This method allows for more balance and brings some old gems to new light!
It took me an hour or two to go through all of my posts and get the situated so that there was a good variety on each of the new secret boards but it was totally worth it!
As I create new post I can alternate which (secret) board I pin them to, or simply pin all new content to whichever secret board I’ve been sharing from that particular week. Last week I was on secret board “group one” so this week I’m moving on to “group two” and so forth!
What is your best Pinterest tip? Do you utilize your secret boards?

What a great idea. I use a secret board for things I may want to post about in the future but I’m going to create a few more and do what you’ve done. Thanks!
Fantastic idea! I too seem to re-pin the same thing over and over. I plan to use this tip. Thanks 🙂

Hi Paula, having a medical related blog, I find it quite difficult to promote my posts. At first I thought I can only use Pinterest once for each post I made, thanks to your “Secret board technique” I know what to do now next time. Cheers, lots of love from UK xxx
