I have definitely had the occasional rude or malicious comment but lately I’ve had more of those borderline spammy comments. They do not get caught by Askimet. I sit there reading the comment two or three times trying to decide if it’s a real person or not! Usually if I have to question it, I assume it’s not a real person. So weird!

I think you handled it the right way, and can only hope I have enough presence to deal with rudeness the same way.

Cool story about you and your hubster, btw. I met my husband online about 20 years ago, when the internet was green letters on a black screen. Falling in love wasn’t supposed to work that way, but it did. This year we celebrate our 17th anniversary. WOOHOO!
