I am going through this right now. I am doing a series for kids, non-tech savvy people, and elderly people learning Windows 8. I keep trying to write lessons in a fun, conversational way and not come off sounding like I know everything. Because lord knows I don’t. Thanks for this post. I am going to try to remember all of this when I write my next lesson!

OMG, you’re just putting words on my latest self-doubting situation! I have SO many great tools I wanna share with everyone, but I doubt if I’m the one to “teach” them when having trouble implementing them in my own life…

Paula, this is so great! A few blogs I have come across have had that vibe, but most are really down-to-earth. I have struggled with worrying that I come across that way on my blog — as it is the last thing that I want. I think that being real and asking questions are wonderful tips! I do think I need to just be confident that my voice will come across as I need it! Thanks for a great post! Shared.

It is so funny you address this, because it was on my mind last night as I was writing – I was picturing certain friends and relatives thinking “oh Golly Gee, doesn’t she just think she’s a know-it-all”! But you are right – if you write as if you are chatting with your friends over coffee then you probably can’t go wrong… I love your idea of inviting friends who don’t blog to guest blog for you – I know I have several friends who would like to write something – great idea!
