Everywhere you look there is some one telling you that this platform or that is the absolute best thing that a blogger could ever use. The truth of the matter is that all social media platforms are not created equal and, depending on your niche, you may have more success in one platform or another.
Pinterest – This is the darling of many a blogger. Pinterest is the top referrer to my blog 99% of the time, but I know this is not the case for every blogger. If you have posts that include how-to’s, budgeting, recipes, crafts, tutorials, or even tips/tricks or life hacks Pinterest is the place for you! These types of post can go absolutely wild there, especially if you are connected with some great group boards to widen your pinning reach. If you have more heartfelt, encouragement or devotional type posts, these may get a bit of action on Pinterest but it’s probably not the best place for you to focus your efforts.
Facebook – With the ever-changing-never-quite-enough reach, Facebook leaves many bloggers and page owners frustrated, but it’s still a great place to promote your blog. Why? Because Facebook has a little bit of everything. Almost every type of blog can do well with a Facebook presence, because virtually every one has a Facebook. I know a lot of my target audience (moms) spend a great deal of time on Facebook, which is why I work really hard to build my page and post tons of relevant content so that my posts get seen by more and more people. If you do have a more devotional or personal style of blog, Facebook is probably the best platform for you. I would definitely suggest spending some time reading posts and watching videos about how to improve your reach, because the more personal posts get a better response on Facebook than on any other platform!
Twitter – This one is a bit interesting. It doesn’t always drive loads of referrals to your blog (the shelf life of a tweet is not very long), but it is great for interacting with brands and bigger names than you would normally have the change to chat with! I’ll never forget when a few of my favorite writers started following me, or the time I tweeted an “awesome concert” note to a musician and she tweeted back “thanks” just a few hours after I’d seen her on stage. These types of connections wouldn’t happen on Facebook, or Pinterest. Twitter is special for so many reasons, but the connecting is absolutely awesome! You can also be a Twitter genius like Jon Acuff, he’s always posting the most clever tweets, that then get re-tweeted all across the world. It doesn’t bring clicks directly to his blog but he’s building his name and his personal brand and following which is awesome!
Google Plus – I admit I’m still a bit of a novice there. My target audience does not spend a lot of time on G+ so I don’t focus my efforts there too much. I’ve heard other bloggers having huge successes there. For the most part it seems to me that technical people and bloggers spend the most time on G+ so if you have a blog that focuses on either of those things, that might be the fit for you! I know some family blogs that are getting some great traction there too, so if you are not getting anywhere on the other sites you may want to give it a whirl.
In short, each social media platform works best with a specific niche. Don’t feel bad if you have blogging friend running circles around you in one area. Find where your readers are and connect with them there!
Where do you spend the bulk of your social media time? Where are your readers spending their time?
This is always a struggle for me. I know I don’t need to be on every social media outlet, but at times I do debate about adding a FB page. But then the realities of my schedule remind me that I can’t do it all and it would probably be better and more lucrative to focus on a couple rather than spread myself thin. Thanks for the post.
I spend most of my time on Facebook or Pinterest. I do see Pinterest as my highest referrer of traffic so I try not to neglect it and to keep making great pinable posts! Thanks for the great tips!
There are many types of tiles available nowadays. The method of
tile cleaning will depend more on the tile type. However there are
couple of things to be followed to add the sheen and
glow of the tiles.
Do the regular floor cleaning
Clean the spills as soon as they occur
It is very crucial to clean dirt and water too as soon as they are split to prevent the stains.
Place a doormat which helps in reduction of mud or dirt entering through footsteps.
There are basically following tile floors where in one
will use the tile and grout cleaning process, types of tiles are
as follow –
Ceramic
Porcelain
Stone
Porcelain Tile cleaning
Porcelain tiles maintenance is not difficult if the surface
is cleaned regularly. The surface can be vacuum cleaned every day or just sweep
it. The wet mopping is required once in a week.
Use of mild floor cleaners will do for the mopping. One can make it
at home by mixing vinegar and water.
Ceramic Tile Cleaning
The rule is followed here as well; remove the dirt as soon as possible.
Vacuum clean the tiles every day or a simple broom can be used.
Plain water or the special ceramic tile cleaners can be used for the wet
mopping.
Stone Tile Cleaning
One need to be careful while cleaning the tiles made of stones as they are natural
minerals. Never use harsh floor cleaners. Sweep or vacuum
clean. After using any floor cleaner use a dry mop to soak any type of liquid residue.
Grout Cleaning
Along with the tile cleaning it is very important to
regularly clean the grout, i.e. the lines between the tiles.
Hence tile and grout cleaning goes simultaneously.
Grout is porous in nature and attracts dirt, grease etc.
The surface looks shabby if the grout is unclean. It can also be a cause of mildew or mould in the damp areas like bathrooms.
It is best to have a seal (colour or clear) on the grout which will not only protect the surface but also acts as an anti-fungal agent.
Many a times it gets difficult to maintain the floor due to hectic working
schedules. Hence we come in picture and provide the tile and grout cleaning services to our clients at a very affordable price.
Moreover the price depends on the type of the tiles, number of tiles and size of the tiles to be
cleaned.
Following steps are followed for the tile and grout cleaning after you contact us-
Pre inspection of the tiles and floor.
Shifting of the furniture, if any, from that space.
Dry Sweeping of the surface
Application of the suitable cleaning solution.
Cleaning the surface with a soft pad.

I have an account on each site you mentioned and I have had some great results on most of them. As a general rule, I post to each every time I post on my blog. I use my Facebook Page and my Twitter Account to also highlight interests of mine, share a laugh or a picture, support a cause, etc. I use Google+ the least. With Facebook, I can draw in people from real life. It is the medium I enjoy the most. With Twitter I had great success in some of the April A to Z Challenge tweets I sent out. And on causes, I’ve been followed and retweeted twice by Montel Williams. On Pinterest, one of my pictures from the A to Z Challenge did very well. I have Twitter & Facebook cross linked, so it only takes one post to hit them both. I’ve switched to Tweet Deck for my Twitter. Love I can preschedule posts and picture will show up instead of just a link.
