Hey! I’m Julie, a wife and a mother to two young boys. I blog over at www. mymundaneandmiraculouslife.com . My life has often seemed mundane but I am learning to see the miraculous in it. I am thrilled to have an outlet to write about all sorts of things such as learning and play activities, natural living, sensory processing disorder, and matters of the heart. I long for the blog to be a space where every part of daily life can be a means to show off how good God is, because I have no grounds for boasting about myself.
What is your blogging inspiration?
I don’t have any sisters. Often when I write a post, I pretend I’m using the blog as a way to keep in touch with a non-existent sister. Sisters talk about all sorts of things (from the mundane to the miraculous, ha!) This mindset helps me stay focused on being uplifting and generous, not self seeking.
How do you balance blogging time & Family Time?
I’m finally accepting that there is never enough time in the day and it’s SUPPOSED to be that way! It refines me as a person to have to constantly prioritize and lay down my wants for others needs. That doesn’t mean I only spend time serving others of course, but I have set boundaries and check my heart often. Even when I’m staying within my self-imposed blog time limits (ie only during kids naps and after they go to bed), I find that my mind is tempted to not fully engage with my kids or my husband because I’ve got a blogging issue on my mind. I’m still struggling with disciplining my thought life.

— This is my raw, honest experience with severe post partum depression. It nearly took my life, but by grace, it ended up radically changing me for the good. It is the most personal, humiliating thing I have ever written in my life. It was incredibly received by my personal friends and I knew I had to share it on a broader platform. This story was a major motivating factor in starting my blog in the first place.
