Blogging can be truly amazing! You can actually quit your job to blog full time. I had no idea that this was even a possibility when I decided to start a blog, let alone the thought that my husband would quit his job to blog with me! Seriously? Working from home with four kids and actually having the time to spend with them? Yep- it was as surprising to me then as it still is today. Just this week I said to my mom "I still can't believe ...

Getting on a blog schedule
Lets be honest here... we need to have a blog schedule because blogging can take up a LOT of time if we let it. It can take up all of our time, if we would let it. The reason? Blogging is one of those jobs that just never has an "ending". It is always open-ended. There is always more to do. Write another post. Edit another image. Share another post. Pin another pin. Start another book. Create another course. The to-do list goes ...
How to get rid of ads in sponsored posts with Adthrive
So I had to share this little tip with you. When I was working with a sponsor last month, they sent me a message to please remove all ads from my sponsored post. I had no idea how to do this, so I e-mailed Adthrive (my ads manager). They gave me the best tip ever! They said that when you want to remove ads on your own, you can simply go into your TAG area on your post and insert the word NOADS to clear it of ads. I was pretty skeptical ...
GET ON A SCHEDULE: YouTube
I have researched YouTube TO NO END. I even went to the YouTube lab in NYC, went on the (amazing) tour, heard the YouTube staff speak, talked to FAMOUS YouTube bloggers and heard amazing YouTube advice. Here are some of my favorite YouTube tips, when it comes to being on a schedule: 1). BE CONSISTENT!!!! Let me bold that, underline it, highlight it, make it huge... for you to see that. Be consistent. Your readers want to come to you to ...
SCHEDULE SERIES: Blog posting schedule
A Blog posting schedule ... ahh, yes... I love schedules. I mean I LOVE schedules. I need to be organized, to an extent. I love it because I like to know what I am doing next. I don't need to do the same thing at the same time on the same day, but I do need to write down due dates and have some sort of consistency. It makes life easier. It keeps me organized. It keeps me focused. It helps me to know what I have to do and when I have ...
SERIES: GET ON A SCHEDULE: Pinterest Scheduling Options
It is so important to be pinning your things! Last week I posted a lot of great Pinterest stats (check them out if you haven't yet!) There are two options in Pinterest: 1- Pin them organically - whenever you have time. 2- Schedule them with an app. If you go for the first one (I go back and forth between #1 and #2), just be sure to pin your stuff when your audience is on. I pin the most in the evening, because that is when mothers of young ...
Sharing Your Content On Facebook
As much as bloggers love to hate Facebook, it is still a great way to drive traffic to your blog. Even if your own page isn't bringing in a lot of traffic, you can do a lot to up your chances that people with larger pages will be sharing your awesome content on their pages! The goal is always to build your page first. You don't want to make yourself completely dependent on another blogger, but networking and getting your posts out there a bit ...
Where to share your content
It is so important to share your content and know where to share your content. Am I saying that loud enough... share your content! I know that some people feel bad about sharing their stuff. I know that one blogger actually quit her blog because she didn't want to have to share her own stuff. My thought is that if you share it, it will be seen by a handful of people, then they tell a handful of friends, etc... You want to put it in front ...
